The alarm generated by the fast proliferation of mobile telephony base stations and their possible danger for the health obliged technical and sanitary organizations world-wide to make regulations to assure that all transmission of electromagnetic waves keep within limits considered safe for health.

Spain regulates it according to the Royal Decree 1066/2001, of 28th September, together with the Ministerial Order CTE/23/2002, of 11th January. And the Generalitat de Catalunya according to the Decree 148/2001, of 29th May.
