Ara Tecnologia developed the multimedia guide solution for the Sant Feliu de Guíxols’ History Museum.

These multimedia guides are based on the generic solution developed by Ara Tecnologia which uses an in-cloud content management system. They also include a guided tour option that uses the same technology available in the WiFiCast app.

The devices on site available to the visitors are LG X150.

GPX Viewer is a GPX routes viewer for iOS and Android. You can use it to see GPX files downloadaed from an URL or using another app installed on the device (email, online hard disk, etc). You can chose to veiew your location, thus you can see your location together with the route depicted.

Ara Tecnlogia has developed the multimedia guides for Gaudí Centre Reus. This cultural center is a tribute that Gaudí’s hometown devoted to his more universal son.

VINSEUM, Wine Cultures Museum of Catalonia

Ara Tecnologia has developed the multimedia guides for VINSEUM Wine Cultures Museum of Catalonia.

VINSEUM is centrally located in the town of Vilafranca. The visitor discovers it with a brief stroll through the historic center, an environment with medieval echoes composed of squares, palaces and churches, the imprint of the majestic Catalan Gothic in the town.

The headquarters of the museum can be found in Plaça Jaume I, nums. 1 and 5. The main building is the old medieval palace of the Crown of Aragon, built between the twelfth and thirteenth centuries, and subsequently amended. It was purchased by the city of Vilafranca in 1936 to house the museum.

Project awarded in 2014 for best building project or refurbishment of museums and heritage resources for the Catalan Association of Museologists.

Project nominated for the European Museum of the year 2015 award.

WifiCast, wifi walkie-talkie

WifiCast is an application that lets you communicate in a way similar to the walkie-talkies using different devices connected to the same wifi network. To do this, it uses multicast data transmission mechanism designed to send information flows from a sender to multiple receivers without the number of receptors influencing the network traffic.

WifiCast, by default, starts in listening mode. This allows us to listen to what someone else transmits. To speak simply click once on the button that says “Listening” and see that it will indicate “Speaking.”

KeepMyTrack, where do I spend my time?

KeepMyTrack is an app that records the position if it has changed over a time and a distance defined by the user. The application works with a widget in the case of Android and runs in the background on the iPhone case.

KeepMyTrack data are stored only on the user’s device. Data can be exported in two standard formats CSV and KML.

Geosport is an app available in the Apple App Store and Google Play that geolocates all soccer fields in Catalonia and relates them with the teams thay play on them.
